High arches assessment in Penang

High arches and pressure assessment.

A high arch can concentrate pressure under the heel and forefoot and may make the foot less able to adapt to the ground. Wonderwalk checks pressure, mobility, stability, gait and footwear before planning accommodation or load redistribution.

Wonderwalk assessment and movement care

Do you keep getting hard skin or pain under the heel and ball of the foot, or feel that your ankles roll easily?

01

Why a high arch can feel hard underfoot

A rigid high-arched foot often has a smaller area sharing the load. Pressure may collect under the heel, the outside border or the ball of the foot, while the ankle may feel unstable. A painless, stable high arch may need nothing.

02

How we assess it

We map the pressure pattern, check whether the foot is flexible or rigid, observe ankle stability and walking, and see whether the shoe has enough depth and cushioning. A new or one-sided high arch should be medically assessed.

03

What the solution may do

Suitable footwear can improve space, cushioning and stability. When pressure remains concentrated, a bespoke insole can be shaped to increase contact, accommodate sensitive areas and spread load more evenly through the shoe.

The RM300 assessment covers foot pressure, gait, posture, foot mobility and a foot blueprint or measurements. We explain findings verbally. A written report has a separate fee. If you proceed with the recommended solution within one month, the RM300 is credited toward it.

Useful answers

Does every high arch need an insole?

No. We are more concerned about pain, callus, instability, shoe difficulty and whether the shape is changing.

Why do my ankles keep rolling?

Some high-arched feet load more toward the outside and adapt less easily to uneven ground. Ankle strength, balance, previous sprains and footwear also matter.
