Back Pain, Pelvic Asymmetry and Your Feet
Back pain is complex and can have many causes. In some people, differences in how the feet load can contribute to asymmetry further up the body.
What happens when one side loads differently?
If one foot behaves differently from the other, the pelvis may rotate, tilt or shift during standing and walking. The body often compensates to keep the head and trunk balanced.
That does not mean the feet caused your back pain
The relationship is not automatic. Back pain may come from spinal, muscular or other medical causes. The value of assessment is to see whether lower-limb mechanics are part of the pattern rather than assuming they are.
What we assess
Wonderwalk looks at gait, posture, foot pressure, foot mobility and relevant footwear. The goal is to understand the whole movement chain before recommending anything.
